For what is lighting my chimes at the moment-

All things Motown. . .and old soul!  I think this music is some of the most brilliant ever written, combining gut wrenching emotion with transcendent, joyful melodies and immortal groove! I have always loved this music (Charlestonians, do you remember the shag--what a great dance to this music!) and now as a songwriter I am soaking it in.  Wonderful Wonderful. . .Smoky Robinson is the writer I dig most right now. I have everything to learn about this--I think it may be the most underrated music of my generation. 

I’m listening to The Tempatations Greatest Hits. The song that most transports me at the moment, out of this whole wonderful colletcion, is Since I Lost My Baby.
